BIRDI Golf is hosting the first annual TCG Euro Classic. This tournament is a stroke play tournament being hosted at BIRDI Golf in Woodbury on Saturday, January 11th. For details and to register visit https://www.birdigolf.com/euro-classic.
The field is sure to feature some high quality competition with players like Randy Hall, Ron Christensen and Brad Roigers.
"I'm looking forward to this event, the course is a short track but requires a lot of thinking your way around. There are lots of Birdie Opportunities out there and not too much danger. Should be an excellent tournament," said Christensen, who previously won the Pebble Beach Challenge in the fall season.
TwinCitiesGolf.com is the lead sponsor along with Busch Light.
"We are proud to support this tournament and believe this is the beginning of a great annual competition. We are really looking forward to seeing the results," said Kevin Unterreiner, President of TwinCitiesGolf.com.
The TCG Euro Classic is kicking off the first Tournament of the newly formed BIRDI Cup, a season long indoor tour where players compete in weekly tournaments for prizes and to earn points in a season long race to see who is crowned BIRDI Cup Champion.
"The BIRDI Cup is meant to bring a similar concept as the FedEx Cup to the Indoor Golf game. Players are able to compete on a weekly basis for prizes and points. Our goal is to have over 100 players participate in the first BIRDI Cup. We expect it to be fun and competitive," said Matt Renner, Co-Founder of BIRDI Golf and founding Partner of the BIRDI Cup.
